Quick background: Whistle! is based on the manga published in Shounen Jump which was converted into a 39 episode TV series for the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Genre: Sports
The episode begins with a glimpse into the past of Kazamatsuri Shou learning to kick a soccer ball with his father as a toddler. Jump to present, Kazamatsuri (Kaza) switches from a well known soccer school to a lesser known school in an effort to play the game. From his former school, he was a third string substitutes who never actually played. After switching schools, the team manager assumes that he was actually a starting player which creates the flow for the rest of the episode.
I’ll preface by saying I’ve never been a big fan of soccer, but I will not let the bother me. Here’s looking to a good series.

X thinks I watch a lot of anime. He’s probably right. He recommended that I should start posting some reviews here. Sure.
Look forward to it!

I’ve been particpating in the MacHeist project for the past 5 weeks. MacHeist is the brainchild of Phill Ryu. The basic concept is promoting shareware on the Mac platform by introducing users to some titles that may need more exposure to the Mac public through a series of ‘heists.’
Beginning Monday morning, the bundle was made available to the members at a cost of 49$. Including such software titles as:
The great news is that 25% of the purchase price goes to the charity of your choice (from the selection).
One thing to note: NewsFire and TextMate will only be released in the bundle if 50K$ and100K$ are made to charity.
Check out the Bundle, make your purchase.

I own the first-generation iPod mini and lately the battery has been slowly dying. Sad.
CompUSA began running a clearance on the outdated iPod accessories so I went to check it out. Ended up by a lot of junk, but oh well. I picked up 2 replacement iPod mini batteries for $4. Great price.
Let’s see, they instruction say pop the endcaps, remove the metal guards, disconnect the ribbon cable and push. Yep. What a pain in the ass that was, yet in retrospect not too difficult at all. After getting the hang of popping the plastic caps off, the other fell quickly. Now to unscrew the top piece, first screw, easy. Second screw, err, argh, #!@*, loosen damn you! Stupid locking screws. Grab the soldering iron and heat that guy up, and unscrew! Success! Chucking the including useless tool aside, I grab a more appropriate tool to unsink the bottom guard. Alright. A little love and the guts spill out. A quick replace and the rebuild begins. As with most rebuild projects, I ended up with an extra screw, that damned trouble maker, oh well. It’s charging now and I’m glad.

Just a quick observation to get some thoughts out…
Why is it that homeowners with small houses have the largest political banners in their yards and those with larger, nicer homes have only the smaller banners? The size differences can easily dwarf and enlarge the size of the home. meh.
